Press release of the protesting refugees in Berlin and throughout Germany:

Nation-wide mobilization more and more successful!
5000 at Refugees‘Revolution demo!

„The Refugees‘ Revolution demonstration of 23.03.2013 with over 5000 participants again sets a strong signal against our exclusion, isolation and inhumane living conditions. It is an unequivocal rejection of a government policy of ignorance, repression and blockade against our claims and actions.
Another major success of the r efugee-protestslies in the ever-growing participation of the self-organizing fugitives from many cities throughout Germany who followed our call(including Frankfurt / Main, Leipzig, Hamburg, Hannover, Braunschweig, Wolfsburg, Magdeburg, Passau, Regensburg, Würzburg, Nuremberg Bayreuth, Halberstadt, Bitterfeld, Halle, Munich, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Cologne, Bremen, Deutschland, Rostock and Kiel). No repression by state authorities against the one year long refugee-protests, no police attacks against the Refufgees Revolution Bus Tour could stop us. Neither denied leave passes through immigration authorities nor police checks during the journey to yesterday’s demonstration with temporary detentions took effect.
And we are more and more every day. We have come to stay!
Our thanks goes out to all refugees, supporters and donaters who help us in our fight! “

We state:
The deterrence and threat of the prevailing policy is collapsing more and more. Our many protests and the bus tour for information and mobilization are having an enormous effect. More and more refugees join the protest and take the fight for their rights into their own hands.
More than ever fugitive in Germany break out of the physical and mental prison from their camps and overcome the limitations imposed on us by the Residenzpflicht. And that – in spite of the threat of punishment by local immigration authorities and Lager managements.
From all conflicts we have always emerged stronger and with more solidarity! The circle of supporters of our demands is growing steadily.
For a year now we are present and visible in the public – massive and diverse ! We are no longer to ignore, isolate and hide!
Under the most extreme conditions – state repression and isolation, our own traumatic past, precarious financial conditions, the cold, lack of medical care, the lack of planning any safe and future-oriented everyday life, but also language barriers and many substantive differences amongst us – we build up ourselves again and again and confront us to the conditions in solidarity. We continue to gain strength and endurance – every day!
We repeat and renew our demands:
Abolition of Residenzpflicht nationwide!
Closure of all refugee camps! Free choice of place of residence in the cities! Affordable housing for all!
Stop the deportations! No tolerance of Duldung!
Equal rights and self-determined participation in all social life! These include: work permit, voluntary and free language courses, health care and participation in all political decisions!

We will not leave until our demands are met!

No one is illegal! Everyone will stay! Abolition of Dublin II and Frontex! Tear down all borders! Abolish racist and exluding laws!

Bundesweite Mobilisierung immer erfolgreicher!

Public letter and Press release
Open letter and declaration of the protesting refugees and supporters in Germany on the occasion of the racist police checks and identification measures (racial profiling) against fugitives on the train on the way from Passau to Berlin to the Refugees‘ Revolution Demonstration on 23.03.2013 in Berlin:

22.03.2013
To the Federal Police and the so-called „foreign authorities“
Ladies and gentlemen,

The participation on tomorrows Refugees‘ Revolution Demonstration has to be be guaranteed immediately and without any restriction and discrimination!
Racist police controls and arbitrary authority measures against the Refugees‘ Revolution demo have so stop immediately!
No repression nor prohibition can prevent us from continuing , expanding and intensifying the Refugee protests. They are part of our understanding of the fundamental right of equal participation in society and part of our demands for the abolishment of the deprivation of our rights, our isolation and exclusion at all levels. Any attempt at deterrence, criminalization and isolation, in order to preserve our inhumane living conditions and maintain legitimacy will be repelled and answered in solidarity! “
The refusal of travel vouchers by the immigration authorities of Halberstadt is to be understood as to prevent participation in the demonstration and as part of this repression, intimidation and prevention tactics of the ruling policy against fugitives to which we will not bend.
The history of the refugee protests, which began a year ago with the strike of the refugees in Würzburg, the first protest camps and the march to Berlin, is a history of self-organization, self-determination and solidarity.
However it also contains an extensive history of repression and sanctions up to massive violence against fugitives by police and government agencies to keep the refugees in a system of disempowerment, deprivation, isolation, control and dependence. Despite everything, the protest movement of the refugees and the number of supporters grow – more and more people are taking a stand for humane living conditions and equal rights for all people – in Germany, Europe and beyond.
Thus, refugees and supporters from Frankfurt / Main, Leipzig, Hamburg, Hannover, Braunschweig, Wolfsburg, Magdeburg, Passau, Regensburg, Würzburg, Nuremberg, Bayreuth, Halberstadt, Bitterfeld, Halle, Munich, Karlsruhe, Stuttgart, Cologne, Bremen, Neumünster and Kiel are expected and we demand their unrestricted arrival and participation in the demonstration. Parallel to Berlin the international solidarity for protest demonstrations in Amsterdam and Bologna will be announced.
That´s why we declare:
Your policy of exclusion, lack of solidarity, division and playing off of each other people will fail! We move on and become stronger and stronger!
We call on the ruling politicians and police:
Stop immediately all kinds of attempts to hinder the participation of refugees and supporters on the Refugees‘ Revolution Demo in Berlin as well as to prohibit the total Refugee protests! We know our rights!

Should there be further racial violence by state authorities before or during the Refugees‘ Revolution demo, we will not accept it uncontradictedly. We can not let you hinder the implementation of our demonstration, trying to intimidate the participants and counteract our actions and efforts to change social conditions. If disabilities and provocations do occur, we will respond to this and might need to adjust our program accordingly.

No one is illegal! Everyone will stay!

18.03.2013 POLICE VIOLENCE IN NEUMÜNSTER: STATEMENT OF THE BUS TOUR http://REFUGEESREVOLUTION.blogsport.de/2013/03/18/statement-polizeigewalt-in-neumuenster-police-violence-in-neumuenster-18-3/ http://REFUGEESREVOLUTION.blogsport.de/2013/03/18/statement-polizeigewalt-in-neumuenster-police-violence-in-neumuenster-18-3/#comments Mon, 18 Mar 2013 19:13:32 +0000 Administrator demonstration http://REFUGEESREVOLUTION.blogsport.de/2013/03/18/statement-polizeigewalt-in-neumuenster-police-violence-in-neumuenster-18-3/ --- German below---

The Refugees Revolution Bus Tour has again been subject to severe police violence and repression. Following the enormous extent of police repression and violence in Karlsruhe and Cologne as well as the general police presence on most other tour stops, the racist police state has again shown its ugly reaction to our antiracist, anticapitalist refugee struggles.

Today, the Refugees‘ Revolution Bus Tour and supporters from Lübeck and Kiel visited the lager „Erstaufnahmestelle“ in Neumünster to spread flyers and inform refugees there about our protest. Since 9 a.m. 8-9 police cars were following the info tour. In front of the lager, many refugees were welcoming us and joined us on our rally in front of the lager. However, the refugee activists were stopped by massive police presence to enter the lager: A police chain blocked the lager outside and inside (!), 7 or 8 police cars were already waiting. Only 3 refugee activists were allowed to enter in company of social workers.
During negotiations with the police, the remaining activists demanded that everyone could enter. Our demand was blankly ignored by the police, setting domestic authority much higher than the inhabitants‘ right to invite visitors. Thus, activists blocked a street to protest against the denial to enter the lager. The police again answered in an extremely escalatory manner, elevating the number of present police officers. Then, the occupation was violently smashed. In total, 6 people got arrested and 4 were hurt. As in earlier protest actions, the police directed most of the violence towards refugees: It’s always them that get attacked and injured by the police. While the supporters were set free quickly, the two detained refugees were kept in prison much longer and the „Ausländerbehörden“ got activated. However, everyone could leave the prison after identity controls (19h30).
Now, the police are present in front of the workshop place. The repression goes on…

Our political work was today again sabotaged, criminalized and violently impeded.
We will not give in neither to the German Ausländerbehörde’s politics of fear and isolation nor to racist police violence. It is our basic and human right to fight for our political demands in the streets!

**Break Isolation!!**
**No Borders and no repression against refugees!!**

**Break Isolation!!**
**No Borders and no repression against refugees!!**

We visited a Lager in ( Horst ) about 52 km far from Hamburg. Its the most worset lager we visit so far. The lager is located in quite isolated area in a very small village about 7 houses.
One the way to the lager the police was waiting for us.crossing a forest which led to the lager. We just passed the police forcely. We said to the police that no reason to stop us in the street.
We arrived the lager.it was surrounded by tens of the police cars.
We had an action in front of the lager a few refugees joined.we have heard that from some of the refugees that the lager mangment sold out some of the refugees to talk to the other refugees not to come out and join the bus tour action.and making kind of propagnda that those who are joining the bus tour are radical and they may effect your asylum case if join them.
At 16:00 we got back to Hamburg where we spent one more night.

On the way from Oldenburg to Hamburg we have been visiting a lager. The lager belongs to Oldenburg. The police came after we entered the lager saying that we are not allowed to be in. We said we already talked to the representative of lager and he allowed us to came in. The police said he got phone call that we entered illegally and gave us 10 min to leave the lager. We were already distributed our flayers and talked to a great number of the refugee so we invited them to come out to attend the action in front of the lager where we held speeches and played music.

We took leave at 13:00 to Hamburg. We visited a lager which is 25 KM from Hamburg. The lager we visited is quietly isolated. The German homeless and the problematic people are living there too. They have their own sections. They are quite racists and full of hatful as the local refugees describe them. Some of the local refugees are even scared of living there with such a racists people. The refugees of this lager are suffering a lot of the police control they said that the police have keys copies of all the rooms. They used to come early morning to control people to see who is legal and who is not. To take those who are facing deportaion. They don’t even ask for permission to come in. as well as the refugees of Augsburg lager when we visited one of lagers over there they told us the same story and the same suffering.

We have been visiting another lager in Hamburg. more than 4 hundred souls live there. We found easy to got in there wasn’t any kind of security barriers. 10min later the police came. They have been watching us until we finished our program.

We were about to leave the lager then the police controlled one of the buses. One of us was sitting in the driver seat. They asked him whether he was the driver but he does not understand German nor English so he say yes while he is not. He asked him to show his Ausweis and he gave it to the police then we all came and We but the tow police men in circle. We forced the police to give him his Ausweis back.

In the evening we had a workshop. Great number of people and fruitful discussion. The local media was present. Also one of the journalist joined us the whole day in Hamburg.

11.03.2013 – Solidaritäts-Demo with BusTour in Berlin from Ihre Merkwürden on Vimeo.

The police incident in Cologne

We reached Cologne at 2:30. We met somewhere in Cologne with the local supporters. We divided into two groups to cover visiting eight Lagers. North Cologne and South Cologne. The group which was supposed to visit North Cologne has been visiting a Lager but they were not allowed to enter the Lager. But we entered. The representatives of the Lager called the police. Ten minutes later tens of police cars arrived. At that time we were distributing flyers. The police didn‘t come in. They were waiting at the entrance. We were about to leave but we couldn‘t because the area was entirely surrounded by the police. The police used pepper spray, tear gas, sticks and dogs against us.
Most of us were blind because of the spray. Twenty minutes later they took nineteen of us to the policestation.i was trying to help people with water to take some spray pain they were almost blind laying on he ground then the police captured me too .The police was suronding a group of 6 and other group of 7. So after i entered the circle with water in order to help the others watering their injured eyes they didnt allow me to go away they kept me in the circle that is the way i was arrested.
2min later tens of the police cars arrived to take people to police station.at that time so many people came to support but they could not reached us.the police and tens of dogs were lining up to prevent them to join us.
We were accused of having attacted two of the police and having insulted them. They said that we entred the lager illegaly and disrupted the people living in the lager.all these accusations are not true.
One of us is badly injured at his face, another one broke his leg.
Three of us have to pay penalty for breaking Residenzpflicht.
Those who were injured went to the doctor and they got medical reports which we can use to judge the police.

We had a press confrence at 10:00 in Stuttgart. Then We left to Karlsruhe. We have been visiting a Lager there.A very big Lager .hundreds of refugees are living there in a very bad condition. We were not allowed to go in but we entered by force. They police was present too but we told them that we dont care anymore.
We have started our action in front of the lager entrance after we distributed flyers & posters.
We have talked to the refugees about the movment & what we have achieved so far.
We occoupied the main street which is 2 min far from the lager for half an hour.Tens of the police cars arrived they forced us to leave the street they say you can demonstrate but you cant block the street. So we left the street. We stood in front of the lager for half an hour then we decided to leave by ourself. We were supposed to visit one other Lager around.
We were about to leave when tens of the police surrounded us beating everyone. They took three of us under arrest. one of them was a supporter whose name is still unknown! Adam & Mahadi from our side.Mahadi was realeased 15 min later. He has to pay 150 Euro Strafe for breaking Residenzpflicht. He is been questioned that during the demo he was saying that the Lager should be closed with in 4 weeks. So the police was asking him what he means by that.
Adam was beaten very badly they beated him on his head & his whole body.We asked the police that we want to leave but we are waiting for Adam.he said that Adam should be send to the police station for more investigation. He attacked one of the officer. They gave us the police station Address & said that Adam would be freed over 40 min to an hour. Finally Adam was freed. His left hand was badly injured. We drove him to the Hospital.

We left Augsburg at 10:30 to Nördlingen. We got there at 15:30.when we reached there the refugees were already waiting for us on the doors. They were so angry and exited. We occupied the house master’s office and the restaurant where they used to give the foodpackages. The house master was present at that time.He ran away and took a refuge in one of the neighbourhood houses.
Five min later the police came but at that time we‘ve already occupied a small street. The police wanted to know what was going on there. We said that we were from the refugee protest camp Berlin and that we were there to meet our brothers and sisters. The police told us that they‘ve received a call that we are about to burn the lager! And that we‘ve made huge damages in the bulding. We told them to check the place themselfs to make sure that we were protesting in a very peaceful way. Some minutes later they came back asking who our leader was because they needed to talk to him. Once again we said that we don‘t have a leader and that they could talk here in front of us all if they wanted to. The police wanted to know the purpose of our protest. How long we were going to stay in he street? What our flyers were about? We said we dont have a certain time. The purpose is to let our voice out.You can have some of our flyers if you want to.
Within five minutes we occupied the main street. After closing the street for half an hour we moved to the center of the city in a very large number of refugees accompanied by some police cars.
In the heart of the center we set up our place and distributed a considerable number of flyers.
20 min later we suceeded to block the entrance of the Rathaus. Nobody could go in, nobody out.
We prevented dozens of people of getting in. Again the police came saying that there isn‘t anyone to talk to. What did we want exactly? they asked. We said if there wasn‘t anyone to come out and show his or her face we were going to sleep here.
Tens of the citizents were around too. About one hour later the police said that the Bürgermeister was on his way to meet us. Finally he came out of the Rathaus and asked what we wanted ? One of the refugees of the Lager in Nördlingen held a short speech and handed the Bürgermeister a list of the needs to be changed in the lager. The Bürgermeister promised to forward it to Augsburg as soon as possible.
Afterwards in front of the Rathaus and in front of the Bürgermeister eye we burned a symbol of Duldung Ausweis to let him know that one of our main demand is the abolishment of Duldung.

We left to Stuttgart where we visited a lager to give the people some information about the refugee protest movement. Therefore we distributed flyers and talked to them about their situation in the Lager, their needs and their rights for which we asked them to fight with us.

We suppoosed to have a workshop and dinner in Stuttgart but we have been runing to late from Nördlingen.

Break Residenzpflicht, Lager & Deportation!

Unsere zentralen Forderungen lauten:

Press Invitation

we The Refugees Revolution Bustour from 26th February until 20th March 2013
are kindly inviting you to our
public press conference on March 11 2013, 11 am in Allerweltshaus Köln, Körnerstraße 77-79

We strongly condemn the brutal police attacks against the bus tour members on march 10 4 pm at the refugee camp in Geißelstrasse, Köln which led to severe injuries and custody!
Following a long tradition of refugee struggles against the violation of our human rights, we set up the Refugee Protestcamp at Oranienplatz, Berlin on the 6th of October. To exchange experiences, put aside our common fears and start fighting together, we are heading for a ‚Refugee Revolution Bus Tour‘ which will start on the 26th of February from Oranienplatz, Berlin. For three weeks weare visiting refugee camps in different federal states of Germany in order to spread information about the protest and the current situation of the refugees in Germany. We are resisting against the inhuman laws in a mass protest, we call all refugees and German citizens to stand up in demand for the legal rights of the refugees – together with us hand in hand!
In every city on our bustour, we would like to get in touch with the local media.

We turn with all power and argumentation against the so-called „Volxinitiative against asylum abuse“ of the civil rights movement pro NRW, which at the same time holds a demagogic rally series in NRW and partly in front of accommodation camps. Here racial stereotypes and fears of the alleged capsizing boat Germany are promoted due to _ asylum seekers , which simply means : looking for scapegoats for a failed policy. We turn away in disgust from these types of defaming and say: Shame on you!

We support the demonstration on 24.03.2013 zur Kampagne „Free Movement!
http://www.facebook.com/events/218114471663926

Our main demands are:
Abolish Residenzpflicht – free and unconditional mobility all over Germany !
Abolish all deportations – safe living perspectives within Germany !
Close the Refugee camps – free choice of apartments and neighbourhoods !

The refugees from the refugee camp at Oranienplatz are doing a bustour through Germany at the moment.
It started on February the 26th and will end on March the 20th.

In each city they are doing press conferences, they are visiting lagers and doing open workshops.
You are invited to join them and spread the information about lager conditions and the psychological impact of the status of the so called tolerance/Duldung.

They want to abolish Lagers, Residenzpflicht and Abschiebung/ Duldung.

Maybe you have access to critical blogs, magazines and so on and support these demands.

Today the refugees are going to Frankfurt doing a workshop in Bockenheim.

some news and details we‘ve got from karlsruhe:

during visiting camp with protests and blockade there was a rough police intervention: around 6 pm at the end of the action, when the bus wanted to leave, 2 people have been arrested („pulled out of the bus“). a lawyer was employed, at 7:40 pm the people were released.

Brutaler Schlagstockeinsatz gegen Flüchtlinge zu Beginn der
Antirassismus-Wochen in Karlsruhe

In Reutlingen

4th of March Passau
Some of us went to the ´center of the city to build up the protest tent at 10:00.at 12:15 we have started the press conference. large number of he journalists attented which was strange enough as the local refugees said that the media never pay attention to the refugees issues.
The police came the protest tent and threating that they will have to check everyone identity.
We decided not to give them any of ours. They didn’t ask anyone afterwards
The whole atmosphere was good. Sunny day. Tens of the citizen were presence until the conference was over and some of them joined the demo later.
We had three topics in the conference. The situation in the lagers. The bus tour and dulding law. We announced that we ll have campaign against dulding in front of the auslanders office at 16:30 the same day.
We have got questions from the journalists about the movement. our expectations .the aim of the bus tour.23th demo. The daily life at Oplatz. what we have achieved so far. the conference took an hour and 20 min.
we have been visiting tow lagers around mobilizing refugees to the demo and spread out the message of the bus tour and 23th demo. we have met large number of the refugee in these lagers we have been discussing how to build a community and how to connect the refugee all over Germany. Also how can we organized our self in the lagers. The visit was quite successful .some of the refugees came back with us to the protest ten in order to take part of the demo at 16:00
at 16:00 we have started the demo. The plane was to march from the center of the city to the auslanders office and hold a speech there. When we got there the police told us that no one was there and will have to leave soon we said that we don’t care and we don’t want to talk to them. We want to talk to the citizens and we will leave when we want to. The police came back again and said that we are making mess and we closed the street cars cannot move. We said that we have the right to stay here and finish our mission. You prevent us to move freely in Germany and now we closed the street to show you how it feels.
We had symbolic campaign against Dulding in front of the auslanders office. We burned (symbolic Dulding ausweis) We used the ash of the ausweis we burned to write freedom at a big woody board.
We left the auslanders office at 17:30 to the rathhuis area as the second part of the demo.We have been staying there for half an hour.
We succefully ended the demo at 18:00.group of us went to build the tent down the rest went to the sleep place where we had a workshop at 20:30.a few of the local people and the supporters attended.

3th of march

We took leave from Munchen at 12pm after attending the final meeting of the refugee congress. on our way to Passau we visited a lager called Amgresberg at 16:00. it was Sunday the offices were closed so we found it easy to got in and to call the people to come out: we entered the lager safely and we glued our posted and spread out our flayers.

We divided to four groups to make the translation easier (Farsy Arabic Ordo and English.).

Most of the refugees don’t even know our movement they were much exited. Our demands suits them perfectly that what they said. We told them that this one of our main aims of the bus tour that to visit the refugees in the lagers to encourage them to organized them self. some of the refugees promised to take part of the demo on23th.

We have been staying there for an hour then we continued our journey to Passau. in Passau we have been waiting for other groups by the train station then we walked in a very large number to our sleeping place where we had a great evening. we had a short meeting to get the preparation for the next day done.

Leipzig http://REFUGEESREVOLUTION.blogsport.de/2013/03/02/busstop-leipzig/ http://REFUGEESREVOLUTION.blogsport.de/2013/03/02/busstop-leipzig/#comments Sat, 02 Mar 2013 17:07:08 +0000 Administrator demonstration http://REFUGEESREVOLUTION.blogsport.de/2013/03/02/busstop-leipzig/ first of march at 4 pm we reached leipzig we have been visiting two lagers we were not allowed to be inside in the first lager…but we found a way to distribute our flayers to and call the people to come out ..

the whole atmosphere was ok but we were expecting so many refuges they were a few compare to the number of refugees who are living there the reason was that they are afraid to be deported if they they join us .and we have been listing testimony from some of the refugees one of them is living for ten years in lager. we had so many speech’s we told them our demands .the history of the movement our bus tour upcoming evens .and we have got there so much support..and then we moved to the second lager which is like 30 km distance between two lagers. and we faced the same situation we weren‘t allowed to be in. group of five of us went in advance .we have been waiting somewhere for 15 minutes in orders to let to them get there officially ( visit permission ) so they can talk to the people in advance and to let them come out and to tell them that the rest of us are coming later and we succeeded to do so ..and then the rest of us got there and we entered the lager by force. the security was threating us to call police and we said we don‘t care. He phoned the police didn‘t come. we had again speech’s in front of the lager families singles children joined us and they promise to take part to the demonstration on 23 of march .we have taken some photos in the both side and we shot some videos which is going to be upload as soon as possible.

Then we had a great night workshop great number of people took part. as we talked to some of them they said that they have been following the movement on the media but its great chance for them to see us live. We have got so much questions inquiries and announcement .we have been informed that there would be an important human right organizations meeting so we invited as a movement to take part.

Also we have got great support another car joins our tour and money donation.

The next day we heading to far south.

on 28th- 2-2013 was the third day of the refugees bustour revolution, visiting men lager in Bitterfeld as ongoing tradition of refugee struggles against the violent law given to refugees or asylum seekers.
our visiting Bitterfeld lagar yesterday was successfull by overcoming the bad Bitterfeld police who wanted to clear us out of lager that we should not make domonstration there, but we resisted demonding our three demands
- abolish the lagers, residenzpflicht, no reportation, so we had 2 hours demonstrating, meeting refugees most of them spended 18, 10 years in the forest, away from the centre (lager). after demonstration 2 refugees join the bustour. we left to the place where we recieved by the supporters and gave us food and places to sleep
today we are looking to see the lager in Leibzig and how will the police react on the bustour revolution , hope our bustour will procced smoothly with no violent by police
thanks
